Sennheiser at the 52nd ACMA with their latest tech

We all know Sennheiser for their quality, and we’re in for a world of superb music experience in 2017 according to their new headlines. Namely, the Sennheiser crew introduced the EM6000, their first 2-channel receiver. Not to mention that the location of the event was Las Vegas, of all places, so we can only say that it was a blast.

Now, Las Vegas is often brimming with life, and the Academy of Country Music Awards is one of the most prestigious events in music. Let’s do the math. Sennheiser, as the representative of the best manufacturers in the music industry. Las Vegas, as the city of Angels. The EM 6K, as the very definition of “cutting-edge“. If you haven’t been there, you’ll want to hear about it.

The estimated attendance of the event (live and TV) measured over 10 millions of people, and the news were bound to reach you sooner or later – the EM 6000 wireless is live.

Now, the Academy of Music Awards event was the first performance considering the wireless system for the Boys. Needless to say, they were thrilled and amazed with the quality of sound even before they got on stage.

I’m a huge fan of Sennheiser’s 5000 series wireless system and was very interested in upgrading to their newest digital wireless system,” he says. “The Digital 6000 seemed like an ideal choice for what we’re doing, especially at the Vegas shows where we keep our signal all-digital throughout.

Their engineer James McCullagh already knew a lot about Sennheiser tech, and the EM 6000 felt like a natural choice during the NAMM convention in January. Regarding the Sennheiser’s latest wireless receiver, James had this to say:

The event featured three units of EM 6K receivers (provided by the Sound Image), as well as the L 6K rack-mountable charging unit. Shortly, the leading tech professional from “Backstreet Boys” McCullagh’s experience with the latest Sennheiser tech was so thrilling and unique, as can be seen in his statement:

The sonic quality is amazing, and the stability of the frequencies is second to none

Not thousands, but millions of people enjoyed the new letter in technology

The crowd was pleased, the Boys were thrilled. Even the professional staff on both sides shared the excitement and enthusiasm. Needless to say, the ACMA event was a success, and we can expect quite a lot from this technological giant in near future. Let’s see the feedback from Sennheiser themselves.

The Digital Revolution for a Wireless Future

Basically, Sennheiser is often regarded as one of the world-class leaders in the music industry, and for a good reason. Namely, the big guys at the company know what they’re doing – they’re ever-expanding and perceptive of the ever-changing flow of our digitalized culture.
The EM 6000 is just the first step on the stairway to the music tech perfection. We can safely assume that they won’t stop here. Byron Gaither, Artist Relations of Sennheiser had this to add on the topic:

“The future of wireless is digital, and Sennheiser is pleased to have had the opportunity to debut our latest digital wireless system, the Digital 6000, at the Academy of Country Music Awards with some of the nation’s top artists.

The Digital 6000 system is but the latest in a long line of industry-leading professional wireless systems from Sennheiser and, with its unprecedented clarity and reliability, will be a natural choice for live national events like the ACMAs that are viewed by millions around the country for a long time to come”

We’re going to mention FiiO quite a lot in this review, so let’s open the streak with their K1 portable USB DAC. Namely, this is one of the most affordable FiiO DAC units, mainly due to the fact that it’s also the one with the simplest design.

Generally, this DAC headphone unit features the Micro USB audio input and two 3.5mm headphone output ports. Furthermore, the drive ability of K1 DAC ranges from 16 to 100 Ohms. FiiO’s Q1 features a built-in battery that is easily rechargeable, and you can even use the Q1 while it’s charging up. Sadly, the supported formats remain the same – up to 96 kHz. Anyhow, this is the only flaw – Q1 is affordable and versatile, boasting a huge value for the cash.

Pros

One of the most unique things about Micca’s OriGen is the selectable digital input option. Namely, you can switch between USB and Optical S/PDIF, allowing for a more flexible and stable source connection.

Pros

  • Advanced audio stream support – ASIO, WASAPI Push/Event modes;
  • Selectable USB and Optical S/PDIF input modes;
  • Supports up to 600 Ohms;

https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-Extreme-Stereo/dp/B00VET0NZ8/

We’ve stuck with FiiO so far, but we just can’t exclude one of their best DAC units now – the E17K, otherwise known as E17. Essentially, this is one of their more expensive models, but it still belongs to the “affordable” price range. In fact, FiiO E17K Alpen 2 portable headphone amp just might be the best DAC headphone amp in the price range.

In short, the E17 is a compact USB DAC headphone unit that comes outfitted with a magnificent SA9027 USB chip. You can use this DAC unit as a replacement for sound card for PCs that support up to 96 kHz as well.

The estimated frequency response ranges from 20 to 20000 kHz while the headphone impedance ranges from 16 to 150 Ohms. All in all, this is a relatively affordable DAC unit that comes supplied with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art features. Needless to say, you can’t go wrong if you choose it.

  • Bluetooth feature;
  • Easy connectivity and controls;
  • Built-in microphone;
  • Boosts headphone audio up to 600 Ohms and 112 decibels;

Cons

  • Somewhat flimsy;

Conclusion

Essentially, you can find a good budget DAC headphone amp well under $50, or even $20. Now, the reason why we extended the range to $100 is that paying extra buck “means” better quality in this case. Namely, more expensive DAC units offer more options, but they’re also more beneficial. We hope that you found our review of the 10 Best DAC Under $100 to be helpful.

15 Best Audiophile Headphones Review

15Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X Audiophile Headphones

Audio Technica ATH-AD700X is an ideal pair of headphones without breaking the budget. The AD700X features an open-back design for a spacier and clearer audio quality. Equipped with Audio-Technica’s famous feature called 3D Wing Support, the user can effortlessly adjust the headphones to the size and shape of their ears and head.

Another benefit of the open-back design consists of a lightweight construction and earpads full of cushioned material which preserves the ears and provides a high-end comfort which can last for hours. That being said, the unnoticeable weight won’t lead to discomfort when listening to these sophisticated headphones.

The large size may, in particular, upset some fans of the Audio Technica headphones. However, it is of great importance to understand the role audio components play in this type of headphones.

Moving onto the sound, it was hard not to enjoy the sophisticated balance in mid-stage and highs. There was a special, dedicated accent to the instrument details and high-fidelity  (audiophile) audio. The instruments feel as if they are present next to you, while the high accuracy in details was applied as well.

The bass is relatively balanced too. Unfortunately, the failed attempts to sound on the same length as the rest of the soundstage ripped the perfect picture that we had about these headphones. It also lacks power, not providing that necessary punch.

These minor drawbacks won’t ruin the deal, whatsoever. The headphones are eligible for any occasion, starting from audio monitoring and DJing for novices, to a cozy blanket-snuggled music listening.

Pros
  • Open sound
  • Convenient to wear
  • High accuracy and details
  • Lightweight
  • Flexible
Cons
  • The bass misses adjusting to the rest of the soundstage.
  • Not enough punchy bass.

14Beyerdynamic T90 Audiophile High-end Headphone

The Beyerdynamic T90 features an over-ear, open-back pristine design. There is a premium material covering the outer layer of the headphone, making it look more sophisticated and premium. The headphones are quite large which means they are not recommended to listen in the bed. On the other side, they are pretty much eligible for anything else.

The most important feature of these pristine headphones is the Tesla Technology, exclusively operating in this model of headphones. Their main aim is to enhance the overall effect of the headphone by reducing or eliminating the magnetic power losses.

There is, basically, a ring magnet located around the driver. The other ways this technology works also includes a smaller ring which is the driver itself. We are glad to see that the build quality is more than sturdy. The special spot on certainly is the velvet microfiber.

It is a high-end material which covers the ear pads, making it comfortable for your ear to lay on.

The Tesla engineered feature contributes to a larger build, including the bigger drivers. This led to the weight of 12.3 ounces which is far beyond average. At least, you don’t have to worry about lugging them around, the T9 is made for house use. When it comes to the connectivity, the Beyerdynamic T9 sports either the traditional 3.5mm plug and 6.3mm plug.

The Tesla magnetic flux technology delivers a premium and precise sound. The entire soundstage is rich and dynamic, including the highly-accented bass. The more spacious sound quality leads to a lot of detail, warmth, and vibrancy. If you can live with its minor flaws, Beyerdynamic T9 is an ideal pair of headphones for the home.

Pros
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Great performance
  • Large connectivity options
  • Durable
Cons
  • Heavy

13HiFiMAN HE-400I Over-ear Full-size Planar Magnetic Headphone

HiFiMAN HE-400I is a successor to the previous, 2012 model with a lot of enhancements. The over-ear headphones bring the several changes. Given that the previous model weighed around 450 grams, the around 100-grams lower weight is a refreshing news for the HiFiMAN fans. However, the end result is still too heavy to lug outside of the house.

The 10-foot cable is sufficiently long to support the headphones. Just like with the previous headphones, there is a 3.5mm adapter and 6.3mm screw-adapter for stereos. The beveled hybrid patterns close out the outside noise. However, it also produces an amazing comfort, perfect for the extended sessions of music listening. Exactly what every audiophile needs.

The successor to the high-end HE-400, the HE-400i, just like its’ predecessor is equipped with the “planar magnetic” flat drivers. They contribute to a clearer and louder audio output. Generally, these drivers aim to deliver a dynamic soundstage.

If you are looking for a premium sound, HE-400i has to offer much more than that. However, more expensive than the competition. The headphones deliver an extra-vibrancy and warmth to the sound. The bass is punchy and dynamic and definitely, doesn’t save on power. Regardless of the genre, the instruments and vocals are handled with precision.

Pros
  • Punchy bass
  • Comfortable
  • Lighter than the previous version
Cons
  • Pricey

12Sennheiser HD 598 SR Open-back Headphone

Sennheiser has always been an excellent manufacturer thanks to the great selection amazing, true Hi-Fi sound headphones. Sennheiser HD 598 SR features an original design compared to the other models. The beige accents have replaced Sennheiser’s ordinary gray and black. Additionally, the wooden textures which decorate the plastic surface make the headphones look more premium than the price would suggest.

Audiophiles, prone to listening to the music, enjoy the velvet cushions which surround the ear and cover it (over-ear design). These cushions greatly provide the comfort, even after the extended time of listening to the music. The open-back design proved inefficient in delivering solid sound isolation. However, this doesn’t stop them from providing the utmost clarity.

The weight of the headphone barely reaches the measurement of 9.5 ounces, which is still acceptable light for this listening purpose. High-Fidelity headphones are known for their bulkier build. However, Sennheiser made an exception in HD 598 thanks to the all-plastic build which makes them much lighter, preventing the unwelcome pressure to the head.

The 10-foot cable is included in the package. It is detachable and firmly attached to the headphones. The connectivity options are two.

  • The 6.3mm gold-plated adapter compatible with most stereos
  • The 3.5mm cable also made its’ appearance for the all other devices.

The steady and clear performance is guaranteed through the Acoustic Refinement technology. The system under which it operates consists of acoustic baffles, which direct the music straight to your ears. This feature is also visible on their main headphone model, the HD 800. For additional clarity and punchy bass, there are the neodymium magnets, Duofol drivers, just as aluminum voice coils.

The sound is vivid and vibrant. The whole soundstage is incredibly responsive and acts as one. The only complaint received is in regards to the lack of the storage for the headphones. Given that they are large and plastic, the results of constant abuse will in the future be unavoidable.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Great soundstage
Cons
  • Lack of storage options.

11Beyerdynamic DT-770-PRO-32 Audiophile Headphones

Beyerdynamic DT-770 are quite different headphones than these on the list. Unlike the vast majority of them featuring an open-back design, these are praised through the closed-back construction. What does this mean for the user? While you might probably miss on some spacious output, you would be provided an impeccable sound isolation, which prevents the outside noise to enter your ear.

Discreetly designed, the DT-770 are the best in the audio studios, where they are operating with the sound applications or sound monitoring in particular. The sturdy and rugged build allows them to be prone to some abusing, which is a commonplace among the DJs and other professional audiophiles. However, their construction shouldn’t be taken for granted, as they are endlessly comfortable for listening. Unfortunately, the cushioned material gets easily heated. The manufacturer has allowed the consumers with these issues to replace the original cushions for velour-made ones.

When it comes to the portability, the DT-770 are wired headphones. However, the cable might disappoint with its’ length. Designed ultimately to operate in the sound studios, manufacturers probably didn’t think about the length. Luckily, you are allowed to replace the cable too, with the longer one.

As about the storage, you can choose the sturdy case for extended durability. On the other side, you can settle for the nylon transport bag, which is pretty minimalist. Of, course, you opt for both.

DT-770’s performance is stellar without a compromise. We are proud with the soundstage it can carry out, especially with the powerful and dynamic bass. Thanks to the balanced bass, due to the Bass Reflex technology provides the mid-stage is prominent and clear, just like the highs, with additional crisp and detail in the sound. The price is certainly a discouraging matter for these headphones. On the other side, the performance and build perfection should definitely be taken into consideration. If you can live with their flaws, Beyerdynamic DT-770 is a valuable choice.

Pros
  • Convenient
  • Great performance
  • Bass reflex technology
Cons
  • Uncomfortable leather pads.

10Beyerdynamic DT 880

The DT 880 is a revolutionary model. Instead of forcing the famous open-back and closed-back design, this model uses one of each. You are allowed to hear the happenings from the outside world. However, the headphones won’t radiate a loud sound outside the headphones, allowing only you to hear the masterpieces you are listening to.

The build is all-metal and nothing less than the aluminum ear cups. The ear pads are made out of velvet material in order to provide the top-end comfort and convenience to the listener. Additionally, the foam-padded, aluminum case securely protects the headphones from damage on the go.

Headphones weigh 9.5 ounces. That didn’t stop them from laying conveniently to the users ears. They are perfectly eligible for extended musical sessions, not causing headache or other discomforts upon taking them off.

While there is no detachable cable, the headphones sport a gold-plated ¼” adapter, together with the screw-on features. It is ideal for home and stereo use. However, the other users can rest assured that the DT 880 is compatible with all smartphones and other devices thanks to the 3.5mm plug.

DT 880 isn’t an ideal model for the outside use, mainly as a result of bulky construction. Instead, it can be used as a home option for listening to the music (not recommended to lay with them) and professional sound monitoring.

There is no doubt that the DT 880 delivered an all-natural sound. The Bass Reflex technology is present on this model too, delivering nothing less than the abnormally punchy bass, though not enough to give interference with the mids and highs. The mids are natural and highs are dominating and crisp.

The stellar performance and convenient design assure the buyer that the DT 880 has everything even the strictest audiophile would require from  Audiophile headphones.

Pros
  • Punchy bass
  • Convenient construction
  • Great performance
  • Lightweight
  • Combines many technologies
Cons
  • The lack of noise isolation is disappointing.

9Sennheiser HD 558 Headphones

Sennheiser is able to deliver the uncompromised sound even in the lower-end of the budget. The HD 558 is a great investment in the audio equipment. We enjoyed its’ performance to the point we found it hard to find any flaw.

The velour-plated ear pads are extremely breathable. Aside from delivering great comfort, they allow the air circulation, preventing your ears from getting too hot or sweaty. The build is completely covered in plastic. However, that didn’t stop HD 558 from being extremely durable.

The headphones are designed for the at-home use. They come with two replaceable cables. It was saddening to see that the manufacturer doesn’t include the protection case for the headphones. You will either have to be extra careful when using them or be able to afford the additional equipment, such as nylon bag or hard case.

Just like expected, the headphones sound great. Despite their budget, they appear to be much more stellar compared to the competition. The open-back design ensured a wide frequency range, just as the wide soundstage. The bass is also very powerful. However, the lack of the sub-bass impact might disappoint some Sennheiser fans. Instead, the headphones rely completely on the naturally imbued bass. Overall, Sennheiser HD 558 is a great deal. Thanks to the neodymium magnet system, the sound output they deliver is tremendous, accurate, and crispy.

Pros
  • Removable cable
  • Amazing sound quality
  • Great features
  • Convenient
Cons
  • Lack of case.

8Audio-Technica ATH-R70x Professional Open-Back Reference Headphones

The ATH-R70x is a high-end, high-fidelity pair of headphones with a great variety of features. The open-back designed headphone is eligible for the great selection of activities, including DJ-ing and professional music monitoring.

For the sturdy headphones that they are, ATH-R70x is quite lightweight. Weighing 220 grams, they are a great deal. The robust construction makes headphones durable to the abusing, which is present in professionality mentioned above.

The ear pads are made of protective, yet breathable foam which protects the ears from warming up and sweating, which is commonplace with this kind of models. Additionally, they are adjustable for every size of the ear and cover it fairly. In a combination of comfortable fabric and feather-weight construction, you will barely notice the headphones on. Even after hours of listening the mere surprise of the comfort won’t go unnoticed.

When it comes to the sound quality, Audio-Technica ATH-R70x sports the latest magnets along with pure alloy magnetic circuit design. In general, these magnets work together in order to reduce and eliminate the resonance and distortion, resulting in accurate, Hi-Fi sound, with punchy and powerful bass.

ATH-R70x is exactly that, a headphone with outstanding soundstage and unbelievably strong bass. The headphones manage to orientate the entire soundstage to sound as one. The mids and highs sound powerful, detailed, and precise at its’ most.

To the ultimate audiophiles, the good news is also that the headphones sound natural, regardless of the genre that is being played. Additionally, there are two detachable cables with different connectors, depending on where you are listening to your music from.

Pros
  • Light
  • Sturdy construction
  • Punchy bass
Cons
  • They are not as comfortable as the competition.

7V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Over-ear Noise-canceling Metal Headphone

V-MODA is known for the audio equipment with the ground-shaking bass. The Crossfade M-100, successor to the older M-80 is no exception. The sound isolation tells us that the headphones feature the closed-back design, and we can’t help but admire the robust design and a lot of features that come with it.

The Crossfade M-100 components are genuinely packed in an all-metal housing which is replaceable. You can choose among several black textures such as matte-black, shadow, but also the white silver, alien-like texture.

The headphones weigh 9.8 ounces, making it still relatively light for its’ competition, especially because of the all-metal build. It is the great news that headphones are lighter than the predecessor. We mentioned that the headphones are fairly durable, given they are quite professional, they are prone to the user abusing. The manufacturer built them with that in mind and performed various tests such as throwing them off from heights to test their endurance.

The closed-back design follows with the faux-letter memory foam ear cushions which protect the ears from the ambient sound. Not only that, they provide great comfort and convenience, preventing the ears from getting warm and sweaty.

The headphones come with two detachable cables which with ease connect to each of the ear cups.

  • The first cable is eligible for either Android and Apple devices, while
  • the other one is a regular 3.5mm cable.

It doesn’t hurt to mention that there are an inline microphone and controls which make making calls a piece of cake.

The headphones sound extraordinary. Just like usually with V-MODA the accent of the performance is to the powerful bass. The 50mm dual diaphragm drivers separate the bass from mids and highs. This results in extremely rich, vibrant, and accurate sound, and of course in the powerful bass, free of distortions.

If M-100 is something you can afford, you won’t be disappointed. The headphones especially appeal to the audiophiles on the go, as they are foldable.

Pros
  • Foldable
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Punchy bass
Cons
  • Overly expensive.

6Shure SRH1840 Professional Open-back Headphone

The SRH1840 is a premium model coming from Shure. They are relatively expensive. However, they are equipped with a set of features characteristic only to the most premium, high-fidelity headphones.

The housing of the headphones is a mixture of an aircraft aluminum and steel.

The headphones are black but quite elegant. The premium ear cushions provide all the necessary convenience for the extended listening sessions. The high-quality velour material doesn’t get warmed, protecting the ears from burning or sweating while listening.

The headphones come with two cables, both are gold-plated.

  • However, the screw-on ¼” makes the headphones ideal for stereo devices and other top-end audio equipment.
  • There is also a 3.5mm plug, though it is not recommended to use them on phone.

Either left ear cup and the right ear cup come with 40mm neodymium magnets. Also, the included voice coils together with the 40-mm drivers contribute to the unparalleled audio experience. The bass isn’t exaggerated. The mids are prominent, while the highs are detailed, crisp and loud.

The open-back structure of these headphones limits them only to the house or studio work. Their spacious sound might disturb your surroundings on the go. On the other side, an open-back design is an ideal option when creating the music in the studio.

Unfortunately, the headphones are quite expensive, which is their only downfall.
The high-end features and premium sound separate Shure SRH1840 from the average and deliver an impeccable performance. They are sure to suffice every audiophile.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Wide soundstage
  • Punchy Bass
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive

5Grado SR80e Prestige Series Headphone

Grado SR80e is an original successor to the SR80 Prestige series. It is refreshing to see that the manufacturer didn’t change too many things about the design. Instead, they focused on improving the sound.

The open-back design means that the SR80e is far from perfect for going out in. They are entirely dedicated for the home-use, cozy, relaxing time by the fire. Unless you want everyone to hear what you are listening to, it is recommended to use them inside.

The plastic build is expected, thus the budget. Luckily, it is not just some cheap plastic. The sturdy quality of the plastic implies that some effortless abusing is acceptable. However, in the normal limits. If you are a DJ starting his career, or an entry-level audiophile, you will love to start with something simple, yet impressive. This is exactly what Grado SR80e Prestige is.

The successor to the prior high-end headphones didn’t win any rewards feature-wise. The only bell and whistle certainly is the ¼” plated plug, which allows the user to listen to the music directly from stereo devices. Aside from that, no inline controls, or any other extras that make the headphones enter the competitive game.

Considering that the SR80e Prestige is an on-ear design, the less bulk is expected to be seen, compared to the over-ear headphones. They weigh 8.2 ounces, which is a respectable weight for music monitoring. The materials on ear cushions are pillow-like, make the headphone resemble of an over-ear design.

The headphones performed impressively, considering the price-range. There haven’t been too many upgrades except in the drivers. However, that didn’t stop the SR80e to provide a better and richer soundstage than the “I” series predecessor. The bass is punchier, the dynamics are pointed, as it sounds either deeper and powerful.

The rest of the soundstage is definitely uncompromised. Comparing with the more high-end models, and of course, feature rich, we couldn’t spot the real difference.

These headphones have absolutely everything a starter audiophile could expect from a genuinely affordable pair of Audiophile headphones.

Our only complaint is in the connectivity options, and cable’s lack of endurance.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • On-ear design
  • Stellar performance
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Lousy cable
  • Not compatible with all devices

4Sennheiser HD 700 Headphone

Our praise of the Sennheiser models never ends. The HD 700 is a high-end model, one of the best ever reviewed. It is dedicated to the strictest of the audiophiles, for the mesmerizing audio performance it has guts to perform.

Generally, the headphones weigh 9.8 ounces, which suggests that they are on the very limit between heavy and light. Luckily, the well-balanced materials and build, make the headphones feel like the feather on your ear.

The microfiber ear cushions provide a pillow-like experience, more comfortable as well. Comparing it with leather cushions, the microfiber ensures the air circulation which prevents the ears from sweating.

The headphones sport a plastic housing. This is slightly disappointing, considering that the price of the headphone is far from a joke. Aside from that, the headphones are incredibly durable, though it wouldn’t cost you if you treated them with care.

The two connectivity options are a

  • 3.5mm Y cable and
  • 6.3 mm plug for the stereo devices.

The 40mm drivers have a sturdy housing, and stainless steel, adjustable grilles. The sound they release is unparalleled. The bass is punchy and the treble is more than visible. They add great accuracy, especially to the details.

The open-back headphones will make you hear the rest of your environment as a result of lack of sound isolation, but the sound they release will be more spacious and precise. The 40mm drivers and magnetic system have a well-organized performance which eliminates the harmonic distortion, delivering high-quality clarity.

HD 700 is definitely a great value, though its’ overly priced ratio may take away your breath. If they are corresponding with your budget, they are great for either novices and professionals if you can set away from the flaw of plastic build.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Lightweight
  • Wide soundstage
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Plastic build
  • Splurge Models

Top 3: Exclusive Selection of Best Audiophile Headphones

We have made an exclusive selection of three top-end headphones. They stand out either in their features and performance and are dedicated to the ultimate music creators. Let’s take a look at them.

3Ultrasone Signature Pro

Ultrasone Signature Pro is a beautifully engineered pair of high-fidelity headphones. Their construction is a mixture of metal and plastic build and sturdy glass. The manufacturers promise that the glass is strong enough to endure a hard-core abusing, including throwing from 10-feet heights. However, we tend to handle top-notch headphones with care.

The headphones sport 10-foot cable with ¼” connector along the little shorter, 5-foot, 3.5mm plug. They both plug to the left headphone. Additionally, the headphones support the protection from detachable cables falling out from the ears.

S-Logic Plus and ULE technology, just like on the vast majority of other headphones, made their appearance with Ultrasone Signature Pro. These technologies work uniquely to either prevent the sound waves from entering your ears directly while delivering a crispier and spacious lining.

The other technology reduces the low-frequency magnetic-field radiation, protecting your ears. In addition to that, there is a special MU Metal shielding which also tends to eliminate radiation.

In terms of performance, Ultrasone Signature Pro delivers the treble full of crisp and audio clarity. The advanced drivers deliver high-quality audio performance, including the tremendous bass and an overall mesmerizing audio output. The only downfall is its’ price. However, it is worth noting that the superb sound monitoring isn’t achievable without as high-quality headphones as these.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Relatively lightweight
  • Stellar performance
  • Radiation reducing system
Cons
  • Expensive

2Sennheiser HD 800 S – Reference Headphone System

Sennheiser HD 800S is an extremely stylish and elegant looking headphone. It’s’ outside appearance matches its’ superb and premium performance. The most significant addition to the design is above-average large ear cups, which has its’ technical purpose.
The headphones are a mixture of plastic and metal textures, along with the microfiber ear cushions which provide an extended comfort to the users. Unlike leather, microfiber falls naturally to the ear, preventing the unnecessary sweating, hotness, or even worse, rash.

Sennheiser has always built headphones with comfort in mind. And although 330 grams are beyond heavy, the perfect balance in construction encourage the user to not feel the stacking of these grams over the head. Instead, the over-ear, open-back HD800 feels completely natural and causes the user to forget he’s actually wearing the headphones.
The ¼” gold plated cable is eligible for the most premium stereo equipment and home use. The cable is beyond durable, additionally covered with the enduring fabric to extend durability. Unfortunately, you will have to provide yourself with a 3.5mm plug to connect these to your mobile phone.

The 56mm drivers are also a unique investment into Sennheiser’s top-notch headphones. Additionally, the stainless-steel coverage securely extends their lifespan. The headphones produce a vibrating- and harmonic distortion-free sound, which sounds nothing less than the perfect.

The open-back construction increases the spacious feel and depth of sound, regardless of the genre you are listening to. The high-end models add more bass into the work, but it doesn’t feel exaggerated towards the vibrant soundstage. The prominent mids make enough room for the high treble and crispy finish. By every look, Sennheiser HD 800 is a model that breaks the budget but is also a breakthrough of a new high-fidelity standard.

Pros
  • Convenient
  • Advanced drivers
  • Vibrant soundstage
  • Durable cable
Cons
  • Lack of 3,5mm plug
  • Expensive

1HiFiMan HE1000 V2 Over-ear Planar Magnetic Headphone

The last, but not the least comes the HiFiMan HE1000 a superb and luxurious headphone. Their uniquely stylish design more likely resembles of something that came from the other planet. The metal build ensures their durability, making them ideal to operate in low-noise areas.

The most significant thing in design is certainly the shape of the ear cups which are long-oval shaped. They ideally cover the ear, regardless of the shape. They conveniently lay to the ear, while the high-end material keeps the ears conveniently cool even after hours of listening to the music. The additional stylish design perk is the wooden accents over the surface of the cups.

Another factor worth pointing out is that HiFIMAN HE1000 is nowhere near lightweight. The nearly 500 grams build may evoke the dissatisfaction even to the pickiest audiophiles.

The firm and solid performance are established through various perks. The first is definitely the advanced asymmetrical magnetic circuit, which along with large drivers delivers a powerful and rich soundstage. It doesn’t exaggerate the bass and puts the special accent to the instruments and vocals.

There is also an innovative technology called “Window Shade” which protects the drivers and provides a more open soundstage. The HE1000 is an open-back headphone, resulting in strict use in the audio studios.

The price suggests that even the pickiest audiophiles need to empty their wallet to provide themselves with the uniquely superb audio output. Either way, if you have been into audio production for a while and you yield outstanding results, the HE1000 is an option that pays out.

Pros
  • Convenient
  • Great soundstage
  • Useful features
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Heavy

How we picked the best audiophile headphones

Audiophile Headphones shouldn’t be mistaken for headphones with trembling bass and just a vibrant soundstage. They function in a way no ordinary headphone works to provide the pure Hi-Fi sound with clarity and free of distortions.

To be able to pick such headphone also known as Audiophile headphones, the user needs to be well-versed with technical data regarding the driver’s size and protection, whether are the headphones open-back or closed-back design and whether is the construction sufficiently durable to last and put up with little to moderate abuse.

We spent a long time testing different types and styles of headphones until we found the models that filled in these criteria and were relatively inexpensive in the process.

Given that comfort and health are of fundamental importance when choosing the headphones too, the material which flatters the ear cups is also important. Try to avoid headphones that have leather, or at least spring for the models with replaceable fabric. The leather can feel extremely uncomfortable and cause sweating if worn for too long.

Things to consider when buying an In-Ear headphone

Buying the headphones might sound simple at first. You go to the store shop or Amazon and pick the pair of headphones that looks acceptable to you. Despite being acceptable, not all headphones are respectable. Aside from the fashionable appearance, here are the following things you should consider.

Comfort

The first thing you need to consider is the comfort. There is no point in having the top-end pair of headphones if they don’t comfortably fit on your ears. That being said, it is of the fundamental importance to find the pair that will adjust conveniently. Many headphones come with different fitting sizes for their ear buds. You should focus on that. Also, weight is a consideration point when thinking about comfort.

Noise Cancelling

Headphones need to excel at isolating the outside noise. Whether do you pick the traditional sound isolation or the advanced ANC technology, it needs to be sufficient to block out the ambient when you are studying, traveling, or working out.

Sound

The soundstage is certainly the most important. A good headphone will meet the perfect balance between the lows, mids, and highs. 31MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones

You don’t have to always get ripped off in order to receive a powerful pair of headphones. Triple Driver In-ear headphones featured by 1MORE are the pure example.

The aluminum covered headphones offer a stylish appearance and durable build. The rose-gold accents make it look more expensive than it actually is. In order to fit 1MORE has managed to make them angled, so they naturally fit in the ears of the user, providing the essential comfort necessary for the extended sessions of listening to the music.

The silicon foam ear tips additionally contribute to the convenience coming from wearing this affordable model of magical headphones. They also close the ear out in a way no ambient noise will enter your ear. However, 1MORE should work a little more on noise isolation.

What makes these headphones really stand out is the stellar audio performance.

The first driver works as a subwoofer which produces powerful yet balanced bass. The other two drivers put the accent on mid-stage and highs.

4Etymotic Research HF5 Portable In-Ear Earphones

Etymotic Research HF5 is a slim and portable pair of earphones every audiophile would wish for. They look extremely stylish and easily fit even in the smallest pockets and bags. This cute pair of headphones has the following features.

Needless to say, their passive noise isolation is simply amazing. The innovative and stylish design, followed by the foamy ear tips closes out the ear entirely. This ensures the preventing of the outside noise from entering the ears while on the go.

However, with this feature comes one downside. The ear tips penetrate deeply into the ear canal, causing discomfort. These long tips can make the listening experience quite uncomfortable. If you can’t adjust the tips to your ears, perhaps they are not the right model for you.

If you can cope with this drawback, overall, they are convenient. They are included with the comfortable pouch which makes transferring painless.

When testing the sound quality, we were impressed with the amazing, crispy, and deep soundstage. Everything seemed to be in its’ place. Whichever the genre we decided to put onto testing it was more than mesmerizing. The bass is quite powerful and ground shaking, while the mids and highs leave strong emotional impressions on us. Definitely worth trying out.

The durability is guaranteed with the detachable cable in case it breaks or gets damaged.

  • Great audio quality

Cons

  • No microphone
  • Not convenient for all types of ears.

5Audio-Technica ATH-ANC33iS

Not many things can compare to the world-known Audio-Technica. It’s noise-cancelling model, ATH-ANC33iS is no exception.

The reasonable price behind the ATH-ANC33iS emerges various questions. One of these questions is what do these affordable headphones pack in together?

The ultimate ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) can’t go unnoticed. The tiny in-line microphones are located in the headphones to turn away the sound-waves from the outside world.

This prevents the noise from getting in your ears, and cause discomfort when listening to your favorite music. The ANC technology is promised to eliminate up to 90% of the outside noise, making the headphones eligible for studying, reading, working out, and even traveling.

The in-ear design of these headphones is stylish and fashionable. Not only are they compact enough to fit in small pouches, but lightweight too. That being said, your ears won’t hurt after extended sessions of the music.

The drivers inside the earbuds result in the impeccable sound quality. The bass is powerful and the audio output suffices even the most demanding audiophile’s needs.

Additionally, the AAA battery powers the headphones for around 60 hours without stopping. This being said, the headphones will proceed with playing music even after the battery gets drained. However, this occurs without the noise cancellation turned on (The battery is intended for the ANC technology).

The headphones are ideal for calling aside from listening to the music. The inline microphone is included in the Quiet Point control, along with the controls for adjusting the music volume and button for turning the headphones on and off.

Pros

  • Stylish
  • Great ANC
  • Stellar audio quality
  • Durable battery

Cons

  • Plastic build

Conclusion

The plastic build is there probably not to sacrifice the great affordability of the headphones. Nonetheless, they are an amazing buy for the users who prefer the ANC technology over the cushy passive noise isolation.

6Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear

Sennheiser, the popular German manufacturer of audio equipment, excels as always. In fact, it is the best brand when it comes to combining the quality and price.

The headphones are extremely compatible. They are available on both Android and iOS version. They easily connect through the 3.5mm standard adapter. The Y cable features a strong and durable material. Additionally, it is a straight cable.

You will find either shiny and matte accents on this model, available in two colors. Black is the main present color. However, you can choose between the Black-Red and Black-Chrome edition.

Sennheiser Momentum in-ear headphone allows you to get personal with your music. The superiorly shaped earphone accompanies differently sized ear tips which lay on every type of ear. Aside from the extended comfort and excellent fitting, this enhances the overall quality of passive sound isolation.

Sound isolation is achieved by ear tips fitting into the ear canal, but not damaging your ears or causing discomfort. Furthermore, the headphones are exactly designed for the extended periods of music.

Inside the stainless steel constructed headphones, there are the transducers which are responsible for the stellar and impeccable quality of audio output. The bass is pretty overwhelming. However, the less prominent mid-stage slightly decrease our overall impression of the quality. The highs are quite detailed and accurate nonetheless.

Pros

  • Little to no distortion
  • Great sound isolation
  • Stylish design
  • Comfortable

Cons

  • The mid-stage isn’t convincing

Conclusion

Sennheiser is one of the only manufacturers that can offer the pristine build and premium quality without making your pockets ripped. The in-ear member of the Momentum family gives a stellar performance, without distortion and enough sound isolation to shut down the loud city transport without causing a headache.

7Etymotic Research MC3 Noise Isolating In-Ear Earphones (Black)

Taking the 7th place in our compelling list doesn’t mean that the famous MC3 are bad. On the contrary, their excelling performance outbursts the competition. They are compatible with the most of the devices, including the Android and Apple’s devices.
They come available in two versions: black and blue. When we opened the packaging, we were astonished by the gloss and build managed to be put so premium. The 4ft cable enables you to place the headphones easily in bag or pocket while listening to the music, without the forced unplugging.

The headphones though need a tough assembling when being used. Basically, there are adjusted ear tips which lay on different types in the ear. However, these tips need a filter removal tool to be replaced in case they broke or simply don’t fit. Furthermore, you can carry the earphones inside a stylish pouch without damaging them, given that in ear designs hardly take the abusing challenge.

Behind the anodized aluminum finish, there are the drivers which make headphones perform excellently. The bass made us shiver, while both midstage and highs put a mesmerizing accent to the vocals and instruments regardless of the genre that we were listening to. Stellar audio performance is extremely important, and when it comes to the MC3, we are sticking to it.

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Great performance
  • Filter remover

Cons

  • The bass could be slightly more tremendous.

Conclusion

There are many words that can describe the MC3. The prominent mids and detailed highs are definitely the ones we should put our accent to. However, despite the powerful, skin-shivering bass, we didn’t get that “ground-shaking” feel, you usually get with these headphones. Aside from that, they are an amazing investment into the audio technology.

If you are looking for a slightly enhanced technology, you should definitely take a look of the MC5. The differences are quite slight, aside from the several enhancements of the audio output and the level of comfort coming with them.

8Panasonic drops360° LUXE Premium In-Ear Stereo Headphones

The Panasonic is the house to various technology-related innovations. It is important to note that they feature various Jokers up their sleeves when it comes to creating new models of headphones which will suffice the requirements of their users.

You will notice the shining metal build to ensure the extended durability. The drops360 buds, covered in aluminum are there to house the high quality of music, but aside from that, they provide the decent level of sound isolation for the ears.

Whether are you hitting the gym or going to the trip wearing them, the noise of the ambient should be the last thing to worry about.

These stereo headphones are compatible with a great variety of devices. Connecting via the 3.5mm Jack they are still able to enter even the newest devices. You can effortlessly connect them to the Apple products, Android, or even Blackberry devices.

Additionally, if you would like to house your headphones a nice safe spot when on the go, the manufacturer included a small pouch, which will securely protect the headphones from the damage. But, given they are made out of Aluminum they are pretty capable of surviving some abuse.

If you are looking for a no-distortion pair of headphones, search no further. Just like with the Sennheiser, Panasonic provides a wide frequency range which eliminates even the slightest distortion.

In these 360 degrees buds, the coaxial dual coil drivers are responsible for crispy audio output, which puts every detail and focus on the vocals and instruments, not to mention a quite dynamic bass.

If you want to make calls as well, there is the remote with the integrated microphone which allows you to do that without a sweat. The microphone input is enough to clear for the person on the other side of the wire to hear you loudly.

Pros

  • Amazing musical experience
  • Comfortable
  • No distortion
  • Sound isolation

Cons

  • Not as comfortable for the Apple users as for the Android users.

Conclusion

In the sea of the average headphones, you won’t find as versatile ones as the Drop360. They have everything an average music lover expects their headphones to have. The most impressing thing is definitely the sound isolation and the stellar audio quality. Definitely worth looking into.

9Brainwavz M2 In-Ear Noise Isolating IEM Headphones

You probably haven’t heard much about the Brainwavz audio equipment manufacturer. However, you don’t always have to hear about the company to know that their products are good. The Brainwavz M2 is the simple example of that.

We know that the cables are prone to breaking, wearing off, and many other disappointing lettings down that we could expect when owning the headphones. The M2 offers the solution in shape of Silver OFC wires positioned in the durable cable. The wires are extremely durable, while they are better at conducting than the vast majority of other cables.

The Noise isolation should not be avoided. The Brainwavz M2 has a nice shaping which naturally leans to the ears, closing the noise out, and painlessly filling the ear canal to prevent either sound leaking, but environmental sounds getting inside your ears and preventing the enjoyment.

Contributing to the noise isolation as well, the comply foam tips fall comfortably to the ears. Uncomfortable earphones start to annoy you after a while, but not the M2, as the tips feel extremely convenient, making them eligible for wearing for hours. In combination with the spectacular sound isolation, the M2 is a winning combination for long and exhausting trips.

The highest impressions unexpectedly left the bass. It is deep and ground-shaking, quite dynamic for the headphones which are quite cheaper than the competition. The bass is not enough overwhelming to overpower the mid-stage and highs. However, they are not as prominent or stellar compared to the higher priced models.

Pros

  • Deep bass
  • Great sound isolation
  • Durable

Cons

  • The audio output is not as detailed as the competition.

Conclusion

The M2 are quite inspiring. Belonging to one of the more affordable from the list, they are a great value if you are looking for the comfort over the quality. Of course, saying that they are not good would be a lie. Overall it is a great pair of headphones.

10Sennheiser CX 5.00G Black In-Ear Canal Headset

The robust design is quite subtle, and it resembles of those from the Momentum series quite a lot. They are black and quite elegant, with silver accents mimicking the Aluminum shell.

When it comes to the quality of the sound isolation, it is not a secret that the CX 5.00G are impeccable. Just like its’ siblings. The nicely designed foam falls easily to the ears without causing discomfort or inconvenience. The only drawback is probably cable. However, we see that it is majorly enhanced and thicker compared to the prior models.

The great level of compatibility is ensured through the 3.5mm L-type connector. Even though these headphones are dedicated mostly to the Samsung Galaxy phones. It doesn’t mean that they don’t get along with the other high-end Android phones and tablets.

Furthermore, to ensure the extended durability and abuse prevention. Sennheiser included a comfortable, sturdy bag which will keep the CX 5,00 safe.

The performance of this model is simply outstanding. Whether is it the bass or the overall audio setting, we were quite pleased with the results. The bass is deep and dynamic, it goes well with every sort of genre input. The mids and highs are generously prominent, firm, and detailed. The special attention to details is put to the instruments and vocals, which is very nice. Also, there is no distortion, thanks to the premium drivers and wide frequency range.

Pros

  • Stylish design
  • Impeccable sound isolation
  • Superb audio quality

Cons

  • In need for a stronger cable

Conclusion

In a modest budget, the Sennheiser CX 5.00 is one of the best budget investments in a fresh pair of headphones or a simple upgrade. Even though they look, feel, and work premium, no one would guess that they are this affordable, yet so powerful and mesmerizing.

11SoundMAGIC E80 Reference Series Flagship Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphones

SoundMAGIC is a manufacturer of indeed magical headphones. One of these headphones is E80 model, their flagship model with sound isolation and unmatched sound quality.

It can be used for either regular listening to the music, but even the sound monitoring in the studios. There are three pairs of the tips made out of the popular Comply memory foam which contributes to a relaxed wearing, and more importantly, the impeccable passive noise isolation.

They feel extremely convenient when wearing them, as a result of the material tips are made out. But, it doesn’t hurt to mention that the great portable ergonomics make wearing them extremely easy and comfortable.

So, like we said, there are three pairs of tips, because the manufacturer is aware that not all ears have the same shape, in order to ensure that the headphones will appeal to everyone, either to those with larger ears and smaller.

The mesmerizing stellar audio quality is out of the question. They provide the excellent accuracy and clarity in sound. The bass is extremely powerful and sounds natural with the mids and highs. Overall excellent audio output for either music enthusiasts and people who want to get started with music monitoring and similar.

Pros

  • Excellent details to sound
  • Improved Bass
  • Comfortable
  • Lightweight
  • Great sound isolation

Cons

  • Hard to read the indicators for left and right headphone.
  • No microphone

Conclusion

E80 is an excellent value for the price. Not many headphones are able to deliver such crisp sound with the great accuracy and value. The only greater downfall is the lack of the microphone. However, if you opt for the E80S you can afford to have a microphone included either.

12Noontec Rio S Earbuds

Available in blue and black-red color, the Noontec Rio S earbuds actually come from the future. Just like us, we suppose that you will be pretty amazed at the unique shaping and colors sprayed over these headphones.

The tender and skin-friendly materials contribute to the impeccable sound isolation and comfort which naturally spreads over the ear and enters the ear canals. The headphones come with different tips to ensure that every ear shape suffices.

Rio S has a sturdy build and enhanced compatibility to adjust to either Apple’s and Android phones. This is enabled through the control panel at the remote. There is also located a sensitive microphone for louder and more clear calls.

The Rio S is equipped with the high-end Noontec SCCB acoustic technology. In combination with the Votrik HD100 10mm drivers of the latest generation, the Rio S can outperform its’ competition and deliver high-quality, proficient, and detailed sound output.

Furthermore, the cavity is engineered with sturdy copper-aluminum to provide solid and durable build, while releasing the mesmerizing audio quality. The headphones also do the decent job in providing a safeguard from the ambient noise penetrating into the ear, but not as good as some other models in the competition. Like you may see, as the headphone has a conveniently unique shape which lays naturally.

It is also included with the flat TPE audio cable, which is either durable and elastic. It won’t twist that easily and is extremely easy to position on headphones.

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Great audio performance
  • Flat cable
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Not the best noise isolation.

Conclusion

Noontec Rio S offers some great audio performance. While it doesn’t offer the best protection from the street noise, it is a perfect alternative if the other headphone choices came out of stock.

13RHA MA600i Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphone

RHA MA600i is a subtle pair of headphones which offers durability, quality, and comfort. It is one of the best sub-$100 opportunities for someone to dive into the audiophile waters.

Like the vast majority of RHA headphones, the MA600i features the same aluminum build as it’s predecessor. The headphones are also equipped with the attractive remote with included three buttons and microphone. It is important to note that the microphone is compatible with the Apple’s products.

It doesn’t hurt to mention that the MA600i has a nicely engineered cable which is oxygen-free. More importantly, the connector is gold plated. Unfortunately, the simple cable feels not enough rough and doesn’t offer the security some other premium models offer.

They fit easily in the ears and tend to stay in them. You can choose your own size which will be compatible with your ear size, not falling down with every step that you make. This means that you can use them for various occasions.

Soft outside layer closes down the ease providing the superior sound isolation, especially from the six sets of tips which, like mentioned, are adjustable for different ear sizes.

Two wearing styles promise the traditional wearing, but also the over-ear wearing if you ever get tired of the tips stuck in your ears.

Overall, you will be pleased with the sound quality. Being designed for the iPhone users, the MA600i uses the 320.1 distortion-free sound, without hissing, or noise from the cables hitting each other.

The sound performance is beyond decent. The bass is dynamic and strong, while the overall audio performance is firm, accurate and stellar. Just like the way you would expect from the high- end headphones.

Pros

  • Accurate sound
  • Durable
  • Comfortable

Cons

  • Lousy cable

Conclusion

The MA600i is a decent pair of in-ear headphones designed for the iPhone users. Aside from the average cable, there is nothing else we minded about the headphones. It provides the stellar audio quality, and sound isolation while concentrating on comfort and convenience.

14SONY MDR-EX650 B

Finding the headphones that are either convenient to wear and have a secure fit is hard. Luckily, Sony MDR-EX650 can offer both and just more.

It has four included sizes of buds so that they can conveniently lay on just any type of the ears. They enter the ear canals as they are in-ear design. However, they don’t penetrate deep enough to damage your ears or cause discomfort. On the contrary, they are convenient enough to make your ears endure five hours of listening to the music and longer.

The quality of the headphones is amazing. There are 12mm drivers which deliver audio full of crisp, details, and accuracy. The bass is dynamic and powerful but not too overwhelming for the vocals and the instruments. Additionally, there is little to no distortion, enabling listening full of clarity and detail, and no hissing.

It’s worth mentioning that there is a remote control available, including a microphone compatible with either Apple, Android, and Blackberry products. It does miss the volume controls though, which is a disappointing as there is a lack of the complete hands-free experience.

Pros

  • Secure Fit
  • Solid performance
  • Comfortable
  • Great bass

Cons

  • The remote lacks volume buttons

Conclusion

Sony MDR-EX650 delivers everything a classic music listener would ask from. We were especially amazed at the durable construction, pureness, and clarity of the audio output, and the thoughtful, smart secure fit standard which makes the headphones eligible for every activity.

Final Verdict

We have come to the end of our buying guide. We focused on reviewing the top-notch pairs of headphones and highlighting their most important features, benefits, and drawbacks. It is understandable that a more feature-rich model ranges higher in price. Which one is your favorite?

1More Triple Driver In-ear Headphone Review

There are many earphone options under the price-tag of $100. However, not all the choices equip the same, essential set of features necessary for the high-end audio experience. We decided to lay hands on 1MORE Triple Driver In-ear Headphones and test the range of their possibilities. While we haven’t heard about the 1MORE, the Chinese company based in Shenzhen, on regular basis, the quality of the 1MORE triple driver headphones overcame all of our expectations.

1MORE Triple Driver In-ear Headphone
1MORE Triple Driver In-ear Headphone Package

1MORE Triple Driver delivers the performance equal to its’ price. After spending some time getting to know them, we decided to write a genuine review which demonstrates how far do the features, design, and performance go.

1MORE Triple Driver – Features

Just like the vast majority of wired headphones, the 1MORE Triple driver doesn’t spark shiny when it comes to the features. It’s’ lack of features, however, didn’t stop us from pointing out the ones that actually matter, making it exactly the amazing value it is.

The Sound Isolation

The manufacturer didn’t specify much about the sound isolation. However, this didn’t stop us from testing these headphones to our hearts’ content.

While the noise isolation could be better, it does the decent job in closing out the inside of the ear from the outside noises.

If you are looking for the decent level of the sound isolation, you will have to look elsewhere. Even so, the headphones provide an entry-level of sound isolation, enough to shut down eventual, humming noise you can come across. For almost $100, one would expect more dedication in this sector. However, merely satisfying, nonetheless.

The outstanding Triple Drivers – The portable surround sound system

Exactly like its’ name suggests, the 1MORE earphone is imbued with three drivers in order to deliver the highly efficient audio output, and encourage enhancement in the features of the bass and overall rich soundstage.

Listening to music coming out from the earphones with actual three drivers is more than satisfying. In fact, it feels exactly like owning the top-end surround musical system, but instead of your room, it is located on your ears.

Wondering which are the best surround sound headphones? See more about Best Surround Sound Headphones Review
There are two armatures which deliver the crispy and accurate soundstage, while the third, dynamic driver works like the tiny subwoofer for the headphones. The subwoofer is the one which determines the quality and strength of the bass, just like its’ low-frequency spectrum.

We are not going to spoil it for you, which is why we left the special details about the sound quality for the performance section.

The Angled Ergonomics – Delight for your ears

Normally, we shouldn’t mention the design details in the feature section. But, the angled shape of the headphones is too good for us to hide the excitement. We believe that before you proceed to the section of the design, it is very important to be able to rely on wearing these headphones.

Anyhow, like we already mentioned, the shape of the headphones is angled, allowing them to adjust to any ear canal without the problem. More about this feature in the design section.

Overall, while the not too rich specter of features, you will agree that at the very start of our testing we are aware that the headphones are pretty high end. However, we decided to reward them four out of five stars for the lack of a sufficient noise isolation as the vast majority of earphones in the competitive sports it on a high level.

1MORE Triple Driver – Design

We can’t help but notice at our first introduction to these earphones that they are nothing less than stylish and future proofed. It comes available in three colors Black with the rose golden tips, just like two Titanium textures with lighter and darker version.

1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones
1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones
Design of 1MORE Triple Driver In-ear Haadphone

The manufacturer ensured that there are two attractive storing options available. There is a magnetic storage bag, eligible for the traveling, and also the smaller bag which allows you to place your earphones so they wouldn’t break at any cost. 1MORE triple driver is backed up with the several design features:

The Health Conscious Comfort

Just like mentioned before, the headphones have shaped the oblique angles. This construction delivers the advanced level of comfort, thanks to the adjusting to the natural ears curving. This fit, of course, contributes to the enhanced quality of the noise isolation, should you appear in the loud bus or ambient.

Aluminum Alloy Body

The headphones feature the metal construction. They are covered with the aluminum alloy over the body. This being said, the manufacturers wanted to deliver either functional lightweight headphones. The whole construction of them weighs only 18 grams, ideal for not causing any kind of damage or abusing to the ears.

We are impressed with 1MORE intending to include 6 sets of silicone ear tips. These support 6 ear sizes, thus they can adjust to every shape of ears without causing discomfort. Additionally, 3 sets of foam ear tips not only improve the comfort but the noise isolation as well.

The Cable

We should mention the cable either. There are two textures offered in this product. Basically, there is the Y-connector on one cable to 3.5mm jack. The fabric is designed to establish the durability. It is an often find that the cables usually die first.

However, there is also the rubber on the cables. Rubber probably cuts the price, but it is not the most favored choice when it comes to the headphone cables. This way or another, from our tests, we figured that the cable is strong enough to endure minor to mid abusing.

1MORE Triple Driver – Performance

The performance of the headphones allows us to see what these headphones are truly made of in terms of the quality of sound, durability, and more importantly, the remote panel which allows you to receive calls, switch music, and of course talk with the built-in microphone.

1More Triple Driver In-ear Headphone

Sound Quality

We were mesmerized with the sound quality of 1MORE triple driver earphones.

The bass is pretty strong, but not as strong as compared to the leading, more famous competition. This is mainly a reason for the average sound isolation.

On the other side, as a result of the powerful drivers, you can more than enjoy the high-end mids and highs. The vocals sound just great and warm, while the instruments are on point with their top-notch detail accuracy.

We like that the music is very detailed and accurate. Regardless of the genre you are listening to, you will be able to hear every detail you wouldn’t normally hear with the other, lesser of quality headphones. In fact, as much as you use them while getting used to their performance, you will enjoy the clarity and depth of every musical detail.

Durability

The headphones are, believe it or not, fairly durable. For the price and aluminum build, you get a reliable pair of headphones worth every penny. The headphones will understandably withstand the minor to mid abuse, just like the case is with the cable. However, don’t overdo it.

The Remote Control

The headphones include the inline remote with the three buttons control. This works fairly easily, allowing you to use the headphones for either communicating over the calls and answer them in the process. Also, it allows you to control the flows of the music and everything else.

Additionally, the 1MORE Triple Driver is compatible with either Android and iOS phones. Basically, there is a microphone which works with each. Meaning, if you have an Android phone you use the Android microphone and vice versa. When it comes to the sound controls, they are commonplace for both types of smartphones.

Value for the Price

We wouldn’t be honest if we said that the headphones are overpriced. It has been a while since the headphones as valuable as Triple Driver got introduced to us. If you compare the performance and design you will see what we are talking about. There are simply too many enhancements compared to the competition to be considered mediocre.

When we put all the features, design, and performance on one page, we know that they are worth every penny.

Pros and Cons of 1MORE Triple Driver

Let’s take a look at advantages and disadvantages of the Triple Driver.

Pros
  • Outstanding soundstage
  • Relatively Affordable
  • Durable
  • Stylish
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poor noise isolation
  • The headphones don’t easily stay on if you are active in terms of sports.

Final Verdict

Amazingly affordable yet abstractly powerful, the 1MORE Triple driver earphones will complement the ears of true audiophiles who appreciate the stellar and warm music experience and aim for the lasting quality and comfort which don’t cross with the budget.

Similar Alternatives of 1MORE Triple Driver In-ear Headphone

Mpow M3 Over ear Bluetooth Headphone Review

mpow bluetooth headphones

Mpow is the first thing that pops up when you are searching for the combination of stylish and functional, yet affordable. Mpow is a known manufacturer of headphones and other audio equipment, excelling for their futuristic design, worth, and quality that lasts and sets a superior standard in the headphone market. M3 Over Ear Mpow Bluetooth headphone is a pair of extremely versatile and beautiful headphones. But, what makes it stand out from the sea of the ordinary?

MPOW M3 Bluetooth Over-ear Headphone
MPOW M3 Bluetooth Over-ear Headphone
Foldable, Soft Memory-Protein Earmuffs, w/ Built-in Mic and Wired Mode for PC/ Cell Phones/ TV

We have thoroughly tested Mpow Bluetooth headphone, and in this review, we are going to talk about its’ features, design, and performance, and whether are they worth a try.

Mpow Bluetooth Headphones – Features

The Mpow Bluetooth headphone equips a lot of futuristic and handy features that are found on the vast majority of today’s headphones. The features include Bluetooth 4.0, superb passive noise isolation, decently long battery life, and much more.

Bluetooth 4.0 and the wired option

The Mpow Bluetooth headphone is naturally equipped with the Bluetooth 4.0 technology, built in the CSR chip. The pairing process is pretty fast and simple, which enables you to use them whenever you want. It is important to say that the connection is pretty stable, and doesn’t get interrupted easily. Capable of swift connection, it leaves a lot of time to the music lovers who are always in hurry by enabling them to stay connected to their device no matter where they go.

The range is around 33 feet (10 meters) which are perfect for cleaning the room, or anything in particular which drags you away from your phone, or other Bluetooth supporting device.

Alternatively, the Mpow Bluetooth headphone comes with the 3.5 mm Aux cable which connects to the headphones whenever you are in a fixed position or want to save the battery.

Respectful Battery

The Mpow headphones are equipped with a 420 mAh battery, with the voltage of 5 Volts. You will find that 13 hours of continuous music experience is sufficient, but less compared to some other models from our previous reviews. For the moderately priced headphones such as Mpow Bluetooth headphone, the 13 hours of listening to the music, and 15 hours of calling are more than enough if you want to use these headphones for traveling, working, or studying.

The charging time varies. However, it mostly lasts up to five hours in the worst case. We do admit, that it could take less. But, finding an inexpensive model with so many bells and whistles is often a compromise.

Passive Noise Cancelling

Unfortunately, the Mpow Bluetooth headphones are not equipped with the popular active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. Instead, aside from the oval, closed-out, over-ear design, they sport cushy layers of protein foam which close out the noise. The manufacturer doesn’t promise the ultimate noiseless experience, but just enough to moderately shut down the ambient noise, and save the battery life for the lasting listening experience. We will explain this deeper in the design section, but if you are looking for the headphones with the active noise cancellation technology, you can take a look at the best noise canceling headphones under $100 buying the guide.

Mpow Bluetooth Headphones – Design

It is not a secret that Mpow invests a lot of time and effort to make their headphones durable, and give them a futuristic and competitive accent.

The design of the Mpow Bluetooth headphone is extremely beautiful, as it features stylish, red textures and gives the impression of the premium, sub-$100 headphone models. It is nothing new that Mpow creates their headphones to look pricier than they are, but this time they exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Like many of the headphones under $50, the Mpow Bluetooth over-ear headphones feature sturdy, shiny plastic build that surrounds the headphones. However, the shiny, silver plastic, which is etched in the middle of the cups, gives the headphones some pristine gestures. The appealing part is also the small indicators inside the headband which specify which ear pad is right, and which one is left.

Comfort

The headphones feature the over-ear style and the oval shape that might not be comfortable for the people with larger heads. However, there were no complaints when it comes to combining them with the glasses.

The Mpow Bluetooth headphones feature large, cushy ear pads, and a large layer of memory protein on the top of the headphones. They are definitely crafted for lasting and extended comfort. However, even the manufacturer doesn’t recommend them to be worn for too long. This memory protein foam is supposed to make your ears feel comfortable, cool, and painless while providing the superb isolation from the outside noise in the process. Even though there are several adjustments that can be made in order to increase the quality of comfort, in order to prevent a headache or a migraine, the headphones shouldn’t be worn for extended periods of time.

Foldable

It doesn’t hurt to mention that the Mpow Bluetooth headphones feature a foldable design for the portable use. The whole folding process is fairly easy, as the folding mechanism is located at the hinges of the headphone. Being able to fold your headphones and place them in the compact bag that is included in the package is great when you need to save space, or you don’t want to risk breaking them while carrying them to the trips.

Our initial model comes in the red and black combination of colors. However, we also liked the discrete black and gray design which is available aside from the original headphones.

Weight

The headphones are quite lightweight and portable thanks to the 0.69 lb weight. The featherweight ergonomics of these headphones allow you to take them with you anywhere, without feeling them inside your bag. Unfortunately, wearing them for too long is another story.

Performance of Mpow Bluetooth Headphones

Finding headphones with the combination of innovative features, stylish design, and exceptional performance is an extremely demanding task. When it comes to fitting the budget, it is even harder. Mpow’s price-tag fits every budget, but it is the performance that is crucial to certain headphone’s quality.

The Mpow Bluetooth headphones give a superb performance for the price. Below, we have given an in-depth explanation of what makes them perform so good on our tests.

The Sound Quality

The headphones consist of powerful 40mm Neodymium drivers and the Bluetooth CSR chip that contribute to the warm and detailed sound, full of crispiness. While listening to our favorite songs, we were greeted with the beautiful depth, and dynamic sound, free of outside noise thanks to the noise isolation.

The low-frequency bass is tremendous, ground-shaking, and strong. It adds onto the already amazing sound output, creating a high-powered combination that is a pleasure to listen, regardless of the favorite genre of music.

The controls

The controls hold location at the right ear cup. Thanks to their pretty deep, buttons, they might be difficult to click and find when the headphones are on you. The controls consist of several commands which include: volume up/down, next and previous song, power, play and pause, and obviously, call. The controls are not backlit.

However, there is a compact lit ring which powers blue once the headphones are powered, and also, blue and red, whenever the Bluetooth pairing is ready. Unfortunately, in the wired mode, the controls don’t work. You will have to stick to your phone, or PC controls instead.

The Microphone

The microphone is placed in a hole on the bottom of the left ear cup. It is an ideal microphone for phone calls. It doesn’t provide the perfect quality of voice input. However, the person on the call will hear you loud and clear, more than enough to understand you. Unfortunately, neither the microphone works, once that the wire is attached.

Pros and Cons of Mpow Bluetooth Headphone

The Mpow Bluetooth headphone sports a lot of features. But, it would be good to mention some pros and cons that are included in the package.

Pros

  • Respectful Sound Output
  • Bluetooth 4.0 with CSR chip
  • Decent Battery
  • Amazing sound isolation

Cons

  • They can get uncomfortable and painful after the extended listening sessions. Also, the ear cushions can appear too small for people with larger ears.

Value for the Price

In order to find absolutely perfect headphones, you will need to spend a couple of hundreds of dollars. We believe that it is possible to enjoy amazing music without spending more than your wallet weighs. The Mpow Bluetooth headphones are the perfect example. They are available for less than $50, and in combination with the mesmerizing sound, and safeguard noise isolation, they are a wonderful buy.

Final Verdict

Mpow Bluetooth headphone is an ideal option for those who are looking for an affordable option with the powerful, and detailed sound. Their stylish around-ear design will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Additionally, you can check out the giveaway on our site, and apply. Who knows, perhaps, you get picked.

Audio Technica ATH M40x Review

audio technica ath m40x

It is not a secret that the world of music is very competitive at the moment. To ensure that you are making a ground-shaking music which has an ability to move the crowd, you need to have the equipment which is up-to-date. DJs, Musicians, Music Studio Professionals, Radio Station Professionals, in particular, are looking for a reliable piece of headphones that can enhance the quality of the music monitoring. Is Audio-Technica Audio Technica ATH  M40x – one of those headphones?

Audio-Technica is known for good pairs of headphones which excel at their quality. This being said, we hope that the ATH-M40x is no different than the rest of its Audio-Technica family. If you are wondering the same, we have written a review to show what is this Studio Professional Headphone model made of.

Audio Technica ATH-M40x Professional Studio Monitor Headphone
Audio Technica ATH-M40x Professional Studio Monitor Headphone
40 mm drivers, Circumaural design, 90° swiveling earcups, Professional-grade earpad and headband material, Removable Cables, Cutting-edge engineering.

Features of Audio Technica ATH M40x

We can’t say that the ATH-M40x is good without taking a look at its’ most important features. There are many things to consider before putting these headphones on our head and starting to listen to the music. We have pulled out these things into the feature section which you can read below.

Features determine how good is some pair of headphones, what are the unique differences compared to the competition, but also what stayed the same. We will consider the sound isolation, the drivers, and the cable quality.

The Sound Isolation

In order to cut the prices, but also make headphones more lightweight and studio-friendly, Audio-Technica designed the ATH-M40x model to have more cushioned cups which prevent the noise from entering the ears.

Closed in a music studio the user can dedicatedly focus on their music without being interrupted. The noise isolation on Audio-Technica ATH-M40x genuinely copes with the active noise cancellation. Knowing how DJs need to focus on their music while surrounded by the beat-hungry crowd, the cushioned surface which protects the ears will ensure that he doesn’t miss a thing while producing the high-quality music.

High-Frequency Tolerance

A good pair of DJ headphones needs to catch every little detail of the beat. This is ensured through the top-notch drivers and a rich frequency range. The sensitivity of the Audio Technica ATH-M40x is estimated at around 96 dB which is more than sufficient to produce high-end tunes. Sensitive headphones will notice more sound, which is very helpful towards the people who like to experiment with the bass and the depth of the details in their tunes.

Connectivity

A lot of high-end components are invested into engineering a professional DJ headphone. The addition of the Bluetooth would only make the price tag higher, which is not necessary if you are looking for a bold headphone in your budget range. The M40x supports two adapters.

The regular 3.5mm adapter will work together with all the latest smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets that support this audio jack, including the computers and laptops that are so often used for listening to the music.

The ¼” adapter is used for high-end stereo equipment ideal for home studios. Despite the lack of the Bluetooth, the wires don’t look as annoying when seeing all the connectivity options that these offers.

Design of Audio Technica ATH-M40x

There are little to no things about Audio-Technica products to not love. Futureproof and tech savvy look of the headphones is something that attracts many audiophiles who are favoring the appearance more than the quality. The ATH M40x has a lot to offer in terms of design either.

The headphones are available in black color, with the additional accents of gray and silver to mark the logo of the Audio Technica. While the black color seems ordinary, you won’t need anything else in the music festivals or studios. There is also a finished matte on the model and many more things that we will discuss below.

Circumaural Design

The circular design is chosen when the manufacturer is looking for a decent sound isolation. It completely covers the ears, surrounding the shells with the cushioned foam needed to prevent the outside noise from the entering. The loud, screaming crowds are behind you, as you can entirely focus on your tunes and the detailed beat coming out from your ears.

Extended Comfort

Aside from the tremendous performance, headphone users usually pursue the comfort in their purchases. Unfortunately, the comfort is not guaranteed for everyone. While the headphones easily fit in the head, containing the cushy surfaces dedicated to the all critical sides of the head, the headphones weigh far more than they should. It weights 240g (8.5 oz), without cable and connector.

With this weight, one would worry about the constant headaches, despite the manufacturer claiming that the headphone is comfortable. Even so, the 40mm drivers are quite heavy, and the excess weight of the headphones is somewhere understandable.

Useful and Portable

The headphones easily fold and swivel and rotate much easier. If you are a DJ, you know that the swiveling design of 90 degrees allows you to focus on either mixing and listening, freeing one of your hands, making it easier for you to keep up for good work. The folded construction ensures the space-freeing when needed, allowing you to pack your headphones in a small given pouch and carry them in your very bag.

The cable

The headphones come with two detachable cables.

  1. One is a 1.2m – 3m detachable cable which is coiled, and
  2. the 3m straight cable.
1.2 m - 3.0 m (3.9' - 9.8') coiled cable
1.2 m – 3.0 m (3.9′ – 9.8′) coiled cable

The coiled cable is better and more durable, as the headphones are quite prone to abuse, it is comforting to see you won’t have to replace the cable every few months.

detachable 3.0 m (9.8') straight cable
detachable 3.0 m (9.8′) straight cable

The straight cables are good, but they wear off fast.

The futuristic design of ATH won our hearts. However, the bulky construction earned it only 4 out of 5 stars.

Performance of Audio Technica ATH M40x

This is where we unveil the characteristics crucial for our favorite part, the music. We will consider the drivers and the sound quality, factors more important than the design and features themselves.

The Sound Quality and the Drivers

The M40x is equipped with the 40mm Neodymium drivers and copper-clad Aluminum wire voice coils, which deliver the outstanding and professional audio experience, perfect for the monitoring inside of strict and dedicated audio studios. Learn more about Neodymium drivers.

When it comes to the lows, as a result of the smaller drivers, the bass is not as strong as the pricier models of the same series from Audio Technica. It is still quite a ground shaking and dynamic bass that can make you easily focus on what you are doing. However, if you are looking for the perfect bass response, check out the Audio-Technica M50x.

The mid-stage and highs are extremely accurate. They perfectly reflect the vocals and instruments such as guitar, violin, or piano. The highs are definitely what stands out in this model, with the precise and detailed audio capabilities. It is not a secret that the sensitivity of the M40x covers a wide frequency range, hence its’ superb audio output doesn’t surprise us.

Durability

As mentioned above, the DJ headphones and the monitoring headphones are prone to the abusing. The robust materials used to construct and engineer the headphones will do more than sufficient work to keep the headphones working and in one piece. However, that doesn’t mean that they should be thrown around and tortured.

The one thing that we mind about the performance is certainly the lack of the calling capabilities with the headphones, thanks to the lack of the implemented microphone.
Yes, the M40x is purely designed for monitoring music. It is a great add on to the music studios and responsible for creating the world-known music. However, if you want to remotely answer the phone, you will either have to buy an additional pair of headphones or answer your phone.

Audio Technica ATH M40x Value for the Price

You can find the M40x for less than $100. The price of the high-end Studio Monitor headphones shouldn’t be taken lightly. The premium components which ensure the impeccable audio performance are quite expensive. However, the M40x beats its competition with a much higher price tag. If you are starting your journey, this is the ideal pair to suit you in your musical creations, hence 4.5/5.

Pros and Cons of Audio Technica ATH M40x

Mee audio m6 pro Review

Whether are you looking for the In-ear headphones or not, you know that the premium quality is always demanding at price.

What if I told you that the quality doesn’t always have to be vastly expensive?

While high-end features usually make you pay through the nose, the headphones dedicated purely to the decent music experience don’t have to price above $50. MEE audio M6 Pro is the pure example of high-quality headphone with low price.

Knowing that it is hard to keep up with the challenge of buying an inexpensive, yet respectable model of headphones, we decided to create this compelling, analytical review, which will not only demonstrate the headphone’s features but also highlight the goods and wrongs, and whether are they worth the hassle. Features of MEE audio M6 PRO

When we see the extension PRO in the headphones, the first thing we assume is that these high-end headphones bring the revolutionary value to the price. Below, we will unveil the features of MEE audio M6 PRO, little details that contribute to the development of its lasting quality and durability.

It is important to note that M6 PRO is not a wireless earphone, thereby, the number of features will measure less, which doesn’t mean that they are any less good. Let’s jump onto the features!

The Sound Isolation

When you put these headphones on, one would think that they are equipped with the active noise cancellation, which, unfortunately, is not the case. Instead, MEE audio M6 PRO sports a high-end, Universal fit sound isolation monitors which successfully protect the ears from the unwanted ambient noises.

This being said, if you are looking for the headphones that you can use in various opportunities, starting from the audio studio works, to the working out in the gym, the sound isolation of M6 PRO will help you achieve the uninterrupted level of personal space, thanks to the superior design, and cushy isolation.

Extended Audio Precision

Although we shouldn’t reveal the details about the quality of the audio just yet, we can’t help but mention the accuracy of the new driver, instead of the original M6. The ME PRO aims for the best quality for the price. However, we will discuss the further audio quality in the performance section.

Detachable Cable

In order, to preserve the headphones, there is a detachable cable which can be detached as soon as you want to pack your headphones somewhere, where you can rest assured that they are safe. Most of the wired headphones cannot provide a detachable cable in the packing, which is why we adore this model a lot. There are two detachable cables which are braided internally, extending the durability of headphones.

Sweat-resistant

The drivers, transistors, and pretty much, whole construction inside will stay untouched.

We love durable headphones almost as much as we love the premium sound output. Being intended for the working out sessions in the first place, MEE didn’t forget that sweating in the gym is regular, therefore they made the headphones sweat-resistant. This way you don’t have to worry about damaging your headphones.

The ¼ adapter

The ¼ stereo adapter provides the necessary compatibility with the high-end audio equipment.

This way you can enjoy the music from your home stereo, but also music studios either, contributing to the additional audio versatility.

We were merely impressed with the selection of features enabled on the MEE audio M6 PRO. However, this selection seems to lack on a lot of things that the competition we wrote about before excels at. There are more feature-rich headphones in the market available as little as under $60, which is why we give MEE audio M6 PRO 4 stars out of 5.

Design of MEE audio M6 PRO

As meaningless as it seems, the design is what holds the headphones together, the durable and comfortable design allows the headphones to last longer, transmitting the same premium quality of sound to the listener for longer listening sessions, and for more than just several months.

As expected, the earbuds are made out of plastic. Not only the manufacturer manages to cut off the price, but also to enable them to be water-resistant, which would not be possible if the headphones were out of metal.

Weighing only 58 grams, the headphones are extremely lightweight, more than it would be expected with any kind of in-ear headphone designs. There are bulkier models, especially with the behind-ear tips that fix the headphone in one position.
The headphones are available in white and black color. While the blue option looks gorgeous as well, it belongs to the limited edition which is already out of stock, though we hope and believe that the manufacturer will change their mind about this color’s availability.

Comfort

M6 Pro will never give you troubles when it comes to the comfort. Aside from being featherweight, there are seven pairs of ear tips backed up with the memory wire that adjusts to every type of the ear. This way you won’t encounter any sort of headaches, and you will enjoy the music in the process.

The ear tips are adjustable, which means that if you have larger or smaller ears, you should most definitely not be spooked, as there will always be at least one pair of tips to securely fit you. The behind-ear tip allows you to wear the headphones on the go without fixing their position every couple of minutes.

Comply Memory Foam Tips

Aside from providing the lasting comfort for your ears, without causing the ear redness and inconvenience, the memory foam tips provide a cushy feeling for your ears in order to protect you from external noise, with the given sound isolation that we described in the features section. Furthermore, if you are a fan of the quieter music, the MEE audio M6 PRO will isolate the ambient voice to enable you to enjoy the music.

Solid Case

The M6 PRO comes with a solid plastic case which preserves it. This case is far more different than the regular pouches packed in the headphones. The sturdy plastic material makes carrying the headphones a charm, and you will never have to worry about damaging them.

The mesmerizing and durable design of M6 PRO earned it the well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.

Performance MEE audio M6 PRO

Now, let’s take a careful look at how these headphones perform in real time, we will consider the sound quality, controls and the durability of headphones. This section will encourage your decision about whether is this model offering the sufficient quality in terms of performance or not.

Sound Quality

M6 PRO features an enhanced quality of audio compared to the original M6. The bass is present and powerful enough, yet not enough to overpower the vocals and music. There is a noticeable treble and sound is full with crisp, thanks to the renewed driver.

The mid-stage is solid, while the highs are loud, clear, and vivid. Choosing M6 PRO over the originals will allow you to never miss a single detail thanks to the rich impedance and the frequency range. Rest assured that the headphones will deliver crispy, balanced, and dynamic sound no matter where you are.

Controls

While the ¼ adapter is dedicated entirely to the audio, as it plugs directly into home and studio stereos, the 3.5mm adapter comes with the intuitive and easy-to-use controls. You can freely answer your calls, adjust the volume to your songs, and change the songs. Additionally, the microphone which is provided with the headphones provides a clear and loud input, sufficient for your talking partner to hear you well.

Durability

Although headphones can withstand some abuse, nothing can last forever, especially the $50 headphones. The lack of metal materials makes them exposable to breaking and damaging, but in return, you get sweat-resistant headphones that you can use for every occasion.

The performance of MEE audio M6 PRO is satisfactory. Of course, there are better options, and there is always room for the improvement, hence 4 out of 5.
Pros and Cons of MEE audio M6 PRO

Pros

  • Durable design
  • Sound Isolation
  • Secure and comfortable fit
  • Great for Sports
  • Sweat resistant

Cons

  • Even though the sound is professional and clear, the competition was able to deliver either wireless and crispier audio quality for the same price.

Value for the price

MEE audio M6 Pro has a respectable price, despite lacking some features. It is important to keep in mind that these headphones are very versatile and perfect for the audio studio rooms. You can also have a look at other In-ear Headphones under $50.

MEE audio M6 PRO is an affordable pair of headphones with a durable design, decent performance, and the superb sound isolation which provides a safeguard to uninterrupted musical experience.
